Hi! My name is Candace Briscoe; I have been baking since I was about 11 years old. My Dad and I would bake all types of homemade cakes and pies together throughout my childhood. My earliest memory of baking is learning to make a Louisiana Smash Cake (also known as a Gooey Butter Cake), which is a golden buttery vanilla blondie topped by a sticky, sweet, gooey cream cheese layer.

I didn't become passionate about baking homemade cookies until high school. I took a Home Economics class in the 10th grade and absolutely hated it! Fortunately, the only highlight was the week we learned to bake chocolate chip cookies from scratch. I didn't mind the process and lecture leading up to being able to eat them because they were and still are my absolute favorite dessert. After that I made them at home for my family all the time. My sister still randomly requests them quite often.

Over the years I have perfected my recipe as well as my technique. I have also mastered different variations of the chocolate chip cookie and continue to experiment with other flavors. I've sold my cookies as a vendor at local farmer's markets and street fairs. I've also provided cookie trays for events and private parties.

My preference for a good cookie has always been one that is thick, soft and chewy...which is what you will enjoy when you bring home my amazing cookie dough. I promise you will not be disappointed!!
